Make Pet Travel
Stress-Free
Do you plan on traveling with your pet in the next few months? If so, it’s never too soon to schedule an appointment to obtain a health certificate! This way, you and your pet can avoid the stress of getting them at the last minute, or worse, potentially delaying your plans.

Traveling With Your Pet? We Can Help
Whether you’re relocating or planning a vacation, ensuring your pet is healthy and travel-ready is a key part of the journey. Our veterinarian, Dr. Breaux, is accredited to provide domestic Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (health certificates) for pets traveling within the United States.
Please note:Dr. Breaux does not provide international health certificates. However, we’re happy to refer you to a trusted relief veterinarian who does offer this service. If you’re planning international travel with your pet, just give us a call and we’ll provide their contact information.
Domestic Travel Health Certificates
If you’re traveling within the U.S., we’ll help ensure your pet meets all airline and state health requirements. A health certificate confirms that your pet is:
- Healthy enough to travel
- Free of contagious diseases and parasites
- Current on all required vaccinations
We also recommend checking with your airline for any additional requirements or timelines for submitting your pet’s paperwork.
International Travel Referrals
Planning a trip abroad with your pet? Travel requirements can vary greatly depending on the destination, and it’s important to start the process early. We do not issue international certificates, but our team can refer you to a veterinarian who does. This ensures your paperwork is completed accurately and in time for travel.
Travel Tips for Pets
- If flying, check airline pet policies in advance—some require health certificates to be submitted up to 10 days before departure.
- Try to book direct flights to reduce stress for your pet.
- If your pet cannot travel in the cabin, ensure they are placed in a climate-controlled cargo hold.
